Christine Jenkins' ("CJ") classic jazz style blends equal parts of artistic vision, hard work, and determination.  Born and bred in the home of music New Orleans, Louisiana, CJ began singing professionally at the age of fourteen.  She performed standards for the weekend crowds in local steak and brew houses. 

Moving on to San Juan Capistrano, California, CJ toured the University circuit with an accompanist, quartet or 10 piece band gaining valuable experience in all styles of music.  After being discovered at The Ice House, Los Angeles, she left the USA to take up residence in Europe.  CJ, who speaks fluent French and Spanish, performed in the musical "Hair" in Madrid and such clubs as The Front Page, rue Saint Denis and Astoin Rive Gauche in Paris.

Having sung with Georgie Fame he quoted " CJ: Nice girl, Big Voice".

Now living in London UK, CJ has formed a strong musical partnership with Fred Humphreys, keyboards, that makes the CJ Duo swing

Fred Humphreys does the backing for CJ using the unique Technics keyboard. The Technics provides live sounds of a Jazz trio backing group to a large Big Band Sound. Fred has worked in many bands playing keyboards and bass for both jazz and rock /blues bands.

Fred and CJ have been working together for some 8 or 9 years now with variations in styles that are cool, classic and elegant – ideal as background or as the main feature of a special event.
